How to Apply
Third and fourth year medical students should contact Anna Johnson, residency program coordinator, if interested in an elective clerkship at Cook County Hospital.
Students spend two or four weeks in the Radiology Department at Cook County Hospital working closely with residents and attendings to learn basic image interpretation skills and participate in a variety of interventional procedures. Clerkship time is tailored to the student’s specific interests with opportunities in ultrasound, pediatrics, neurology, GI, musculoskeletal, MRI, interventional, nuclear or emergency radiology.
Conferences and Lectures
Medical students will receive a conference schedule and are expected to attend daily lectures along with the radiology residents. Lectures are given by the core teaching faculty and are held in the radiology conference room on the second floor in Rm 2535 or across the street in the Outpatient Imaging Center.
On the first day, please stop in Anna Johnson’s office, Rm 2533, at 9:00AM.
Directions: From the main hospital lobby take Elevator 2 up to the second floor and follow signs for the Radiology Department, Rm 2533 is in the back hallway.
Applicants should park in the main hospital parking garage, the entrance is on Polk Street. We will provide you with parking validation at the end of the interview day.
