The laboratory analyzes over 3 million tests annually.
John H. Stroger, Jr. and Provident Hospital laboratories provide a full range of anatomic pathology diagnostic services available in the Division of Anatomic Pathology. We assure the most sophisticated diagnostic modalities of technology are available. Techniques include frozen section and fixed tissue light microscopy, immunohistochemical & immunofluorescent staining and cell morpometry.
The clinical pathology laboratories provide excellent, full-spectrum service. The laboratory provide more than 1,200 different laboratory analyses. Our laboratories include Blook Bank & Transufsion, Biochemistry, Flow Cytometry, Hematopathology, Immunology, Drug Analysis, Toxicology, Microbiology, Virology, Molecular Diagnostics and Phlebotomy Services.
The John H. Stroger, Jr. laboratory is the core laboratory for the Cook County Health and Hospital System, providing laboratory service to all health network clinics, departments, Cermak facility, Core Center and Cook County Public Health Department.
The Clinical & Anatomic Laboratories of the Cook County Health & Hospital System is the first blood bank celebrating 75 years in March 2012.
