The department of Obstetrics and Gynecology offers several medical education and research programs.
Graduate Medical Education Program
The department offers Obstetrics and Gynecology graduate medical education training through its integrated program with the Northwestern University McGaw Medical Center. This is a fully ACGME accredited program with training experiences at all levels during the 4 year residency experience.
Undergraduate Medical Education Program
The department offers third year medical school educational experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology through its academic affiliation with Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.
There are limited opportunities for fourth year elective rotations which may be available on an individualized basis.
Family Planning Training
The Department’s Division of Family Planning offers training in family planning services through the Ryan Training Program. This training is available for residents from a number of Chicago area academic programs in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Family Medicine.
Physician Assistant Education
Through an affiliation with the City Colleges of Chicago/John H. Stroger, Jr. Physician Assistant Training Program(Marisa-please verify the title of this joint program) students receive clinical training and experience in various aspects of the specialty of Obstetrics and Gynecology
A wide variety of investigational projections are ongoing in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Faculty members and trainees are pursuing scientific investigations a number of clinical areas and subspecialties.
