The division of rheumatology is located at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County. The division offers a wide array of inpatient and outpatient services.
Our physicians specialize in general rheumatology but focus their efforts on the management of patients with ankylosing spondylitis, gout, myositis, osteoarthritis, psoriatic arthritis, pseudogout, rheumatoid arthritis, sjogren’s disease, systemic lupus erythematosus, systemic sclerosis, and vasculitis.
Our rheumatologists provide state of the art rheumatologic care including therapy with DMARDs, biologic agents and therapeutic joint injections. Our rheumatologists have published many papers in the peer reviewed medical literature. Our teaching program includes both undergraduate and graduate medical education. In addition to their appointments in the department of medicine at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County, our rheumatology physicians serve as teaching faculty at Rush Medical College. Patients requesting an appointment in the division of rheumatology require referral from a primary care physician within the Cook County Health & Hospital Systems Network.
