Our unit also serves as a transition unit for patients who are initiated on hemodialysis and waiting for placement at other dialysis units.
We provide dialysis services to a diverse population with wide spectrum of pathology. We have 10 quality improvement projects that are designed to improve and offer the best possible dialysis care for our patients. We have a dedicated multidisciplinary team who work tirelessly to enhance the care of the patients. This provides an excellent educational opportunity for the fellows in training making them exceptionally competent in diagnosing unique medical diseases and adept in dealing with cultural differences that are commonly seen with chronic medical conditions. Overall, our dialysis unit offers unique educational experience to both our fellows and residents, which enriches their learning experience.
