The Anesthesiology residents complete a minimum of four months of Critical Care Medicine throughout their training, beginning in the Clinical Base Year. The rotations encompass both the Medical Intensive Care Unit, as well as the Surgical Care Unit, both of which may also provide care for neurosurgical and high risk Obstetrical patients. The supervising faculty is board-certified intensivists in Pulmonary, Cardiac, Surgical, Trauma, Pediatric and Anesthesiology Critical Care. Typically, residents complete two months during their internship year and at least two more months during the CAII or CAIII year.
