Visiting Information
We believe that visitors play an important role in helping the patients heal and encourage families to actively participate in patient care. Thus, the Trauma and Burn Units are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In order to maintain a quiet, restful environment and allow all of our patients to have visitors, we generally ask that only two (2) visitors come in to the room at a time.
Keep in mind that there are certain times that might be better for visiting. Families should check with the nurse or the doctor to coordinate the best times to visit a loved one. Of course, it is also good to check with your loved one, if possible, to see when they would prefer to have visitors.
Important Phone Numbers
Pay telephones are located near the elevators in the hospital’s central hall. Please note that the use of cell phones is permitted only in specifically designated areas of the hospital.
To speak with a nurse about a trauma patient or to request permission to visit a trauma patient from inside the hospital, please dial 4-1000 from any of the cream-colored hospital phones located inside and outside of the Trauma Family Waiting Room, main lobby, and other locations in the hospital.
