Application Process
Those physician assistants who have graduated from an NCCPA accredited program are invited to apply for admission to the JH Stroger PA Postgraduate Residency Program.
Program applicants must submit the following to be considered for admission to the program:
- A one page biography and letter of intent providing an introduction and stating your rationale for wanting to pursue residency training as a physician assistant. In this statement, the applicant should specify the residency experience they would like to be considered for.
- The applicant should provide official transcripts from their PA program. If course work has not been completed, submit transcripts for all work completed to date.
- The applicant should provide three (3) letters of reference. One letter should be from a PA program faculty member. One letter should be from a clinical preceptor who observed and/or supervised the applicant during the second year clinical rotations. The last letter can be a personal or character reference from anyone of the applicants chosing.
