Sandra Martell, RN, MS, DNP is the Interim Chief Operating Officer for the Department of Public Health. Ms. Martell received her BSN from Loyola University of Chicago and her Master’s and Doctorate in Nursing from the University of Illinois at Chicago with an emphasis on public health practice. Sandra (Sandy) has over 25 years of community and public health experience and started her career with Cook County as a public health nurse and has held a variety of senior level positions within the Department of Public Health. She resides in the Chicago-land area.
