Marisa Kollias is the Health System’s newest Director of Media and Public Relations bringing a decade of experience in television journalism and crisis communications. After working as a general assignment and business reporter in Chicago, Marisa most recently served as Communications Director at the State of Illinois and led state-wide events and public relations efforts for the Department of Transportation. There, she lead strategy for the Reconstruction of the Dan Ryan Expressway-the largest construction project in state history and served as the Spokeswoman for the state agency. She also helped develop policy and strategic messaging, and execute state-wide events for the All Kids Healthcare program under the Department of Health and Family Services. A Chicago native, Marisa is a graduate of Columbia College in Chicago and a member of the U.S. Government Relations and Public Affairs group and the Association of Women Journalists.
