Attending Physician Senior 12 – Gastroenterology

JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for patient care especially in relation to GI and liver disorders and is trained and competent in endoscopic ultrasonography.  Performs and supervises GI procedures.  Provides GI and liver consultations.  Conducts endoscopy procedures.  Provides coverage in the GI Clinics and as necessary may provide services at Provident and Oak Forest Health Centers.  Participates in the education of residents and fellows.  As needed participates in emergency assignments.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must possess a medical or osteopathic doctor’s degree from an accredited school of medicine.
  • Must be licensed as a physician in good standing in the State of Illinois.   
  • Must be Board Certified in Gastroenterology and in Internal Medicine.
  • Previous training or work experience in endoscopic ultrasonography is required. 
Must successfully meet the credentialing standards established by the Cook County Health and Hospitals System to include a State of Illinois MD license and any other training, specialized training, etc. no later than two (2) weeks prior to the candidate’s start date.
